Residents of Silver City met with community leaders recently to offer input and learn more about the “quality of life plan” that the neighborhood will develop. Silver City is one of three communities that make up the Layton Boulevard West neighborhoods. The Layton Boulevard West Neighbors community organization was awarded $875,000 over four years as part of the Zilber Neighborhood Initiative to facilitate creation and implementation of the plan. Reporter Edgar Mendez talked to residents after the meeting, which took place at United Church, 2906 W. Scott St., about the issues that are important to them.
