Think you’ve missed your chance to move into an award-winning home in Lindsay Heights? You haven’t. After five months and $140,000 spent on rehabilitation, the 2011 Mayor’s Design Award-winning home at 2206 N. 16th St. is on the market for $88,000. The foreclosed building was acquired by Walnut Way Conservation Corp. in Lindsay Heights and rehabilitated with funding from private and public sources, including federal funding from the Neighborhood Stabilization Program.
Walnut Way acquired and oversaw the transformation of the property from an uninhabitable building to an example of quality affordable housing. The project was executed as part of the organization’s comprehensive neighborhood revitalization program.
