Ben’s Cycle moved into its current location on Lincoln Avenue in 1965 and bought the across-the-street neighbor, the Riviera Theater, in 1996. Today, the theater houses vintage bicycles, as well as a mountain of frames, parts, and bike-frame chandeliers.
Lincoln Village’s Polish roots can be seen throughout the neighborhood—Kosciuszko Park (and the statue of Thaddeus Kosciuszko himself), A.J. Polish Deli, the Basilica of St. Josaphat, even the Polish flats and curved Polish gables. However, Lincoln Village’s largely Mexican present is even more evident—bakeries, a multitude of restaurants, small businesses and afternoon soccer in the park.
