ELCA Lay Minister Venice Williams will be honored with the prestigious Frank Zeidler Award at the Interfaith Conference of Greater Milwaukee’s annual luncheon on Thursday, Dec. 5, at the Italian Community Center. Venice, executive director of Alice’s Garden and SeedFolks Youth Ministry, also will speak on “Food Justice: Reclaiming and Nourishing Community.” U.S. Attorney James Santelle will speak on “Civil Rights and Faith: Lessons from our History, Inspired Visions for Our Future.” And awards will be given to the Milwaukee Christian Center and Joseph Stanley of Pathfinders Emergency Youth Shelter.
