We are excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for the second cohort of the Neighborhood Leadership Institute to start in October 2014. The Neighborhood Leadership Institute was developed to help build the capacity and effectiveness of resident and non-profit leaders. This free and in-depth 10-month leadership development program is a partnership among the Cardinal Stritch University Leadership Center, the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, the Northwestern Mutual Foundation, the Zilber Family Foundation, LISC-Milwaukee, and United Neighborhood Centers of Milwaukee.
This program will bring together 10 teams of two people each and is open to the following neighborhoods: Amani, Baran Park, Capitol Heights, Century City, Clarke Square, Concordia, Harambee, Havenwoods, Johnsons Park, Layton Boulevard West (Burnham Park, Layton Park, Silver City), Lenox Heights, Lincoln Village, Lindsay Heights, Metcalfe Park, Muskego Way, Pulaski Park, Riverwest, Sherman Park, Silver Spring, Thurston Woods, Tower Hill – Waukesha, and Washington Park. Teams will consist of a resident and a staff member from one of the lead and/or partner agencies.
