Sam Hernandez, a high school student at the Alliance School, lives at a group home during the week and sees her family on weekends. She says that life in a group home can be limiting, and she has less freedom than most people her age. She copes with her situation by journaling and writing poetry and by visiting her neighborhood YMCA.
