Volunteer Milwaukee, a service of the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee features a calendar full of events for volunteers, both one-time and ongoing. Here are a few of the opportunities in March.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss Celebration

Greet and direct visitors, help with crafts and fun activities, decorate cookies and more at Milwaukee Public Central Library, Saturday, March 5, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Fight for Air Climb

Help with American Lung Association’s event set-up, register participants and/or hand out water for four-hour shifts at U.S. Bank Center in downtown Milwaukee, Saturday, March 19, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Bruce-Guadalupe Middle School Career Day Presenters

Showcase your career to groups of middle school students through half-day interactive classroom presentations 9 to 11:15 a.m. or booth presentations at United Community Center, Tuesday, March 22, 12:30 to 2:45 p.m.

Provide a Meal to the Homeless

Purchase, prepare, transport and serve a meal to 60 people at The Cathedral Center 6:30 to 8 p.m. Ideal for groups of 5-8 people.

StopTheViolence Community Theater Rehab Project

Skilled and unskilled labor needed weekdays and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to help Club Kids In Danger Saved remodel a building to be used as a children’s theatre to give kids a safe place to hang out after school and on weekends.

Art in Bloom

Greet attendees, assist vendors in marketplace or staff permanent collection at Milwaukee Art Museum for 2- to 3-hour shifts, March 17-20, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

    Hello, Could you Post Volunteer Opportunities at The Gathering of SE WI., Inc.
    Our Mission is to stop hunger one day at a time, one person at a time, by providing free meals weekly to Milwaukee’s hungry and homeless. All meals are cooked fresh on site. Volunteers assist in meal preparation, set up and clean up. Volunteers are needed for our Breakfast Program, Monday-Friday at St James Episcopal Church. Our Dinner Program, Mondays and Wednesday at Christian Faith Fellowship Church East, and Our Saturday Lunch Programs at 4 Locations. Please visit our website at http://www.thegatheringwis.org
