Near West Side Partners, Inc. (NWSP) will join community members on Tuesday, August 2, beginning at 2 p.m. at 1201 N. 35th Street (east parking lot at Harley-Davidson’s Juneau Campus) for the District 3 National Night Out celebration, which has grown to become the largest in the City, with nearly 2,000 attending in 2015.
Highlights will include: Jammin 98.3, the Milwaukee Flyers, Rosco the Admirals mascot, the Next Door Book Truck, Chinese Kung Fu Center, face painting, the Milwaukee Bike Collective, Home Depot Kid Workshops and the Survive Alive House.
At the event, residents will also be invited to take the NWSP resident survey, which will be used to gauge the perceptions, needs and desires of residents of the Near West Side neighborhood – make your voice heard!
National Night Out is a campaign involving citizens, law enforcement agencies, businesses, community-based organizations, and faith-based groups. The program is designed to heighten crime awareness, generate support for and participation in local anti-crime program and to strengthen neighborhood spirit and police relations with citizens. Activities for National Night Out will take place in the same location from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
