Last weekend 124 graduates from Carmen Schools of Science and Technology walked across the stage to receive their diplomas. Here are some of their accomplishments:
- 100% of Carmen Northwest and Carmen South graduating seniors were accepted into a 4 year college.
- Carmen’s 124 graduates earned over $14.5 million dollars in college scholarships(Carmen grads constitute 2.5% of seniors enrolled in MPS but earned 23% of the total earned by all MPS schools).
Our Valedictorians are:
- Olga Guerrero Gonzalez: Matched to the University of Chicago through the Questbridge program (full-ride scholarship)
- Shayla Halstead: full ride to Marquette University
Our Salutatorians are:
- Alejandra Montes de Oca: Carthage College (Presidential Scholarship, Kelben Scholarship and the American Association of University Women (AAUW) Scholarship will cover her tuition)
- Ryan Graham: full ride to St. John’s University (MN)
Other “full ride” scholarship recipients include:
- José Salinas: one of the first recipients of the Michael Cudahy Scholarship (full ride to Marquette University)
- Chammond McCoy: Noel Compass Scholarship recipient (full ride to UW—Stevens Point)
