This cashier is employed at a Milwaukee Habitat For Humanity ReStore.

Volunteer Milwaukee, a service of the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee features a calendar full of events for volunteers, both one-time and ongoing. Here are a few of the opportunities in March.

ReStores

Collect and organize household donations, be a cashier or help in the office at any one of three Milwaukee Habitat For Humanity Restore locations weekdays, evenings or weekends.

Art Education Truck Studio

Help teach art to kids at Milwaukee Public Libraries as part of Artists Working in Education Truck Studio Program; weekdays or weekends.

War Memorial Center

Guide visitors through the newly renovated Milwaukee County War Memorial Center, assist with school programs and provide tours for special events; mainly weekdays but occasional evenings and weekends.

Preschool Classrooms

Help teachers and therapists in classroom activities with children at Vision Forward Mondays-Thursdays; experience with children with disabilities is preferred but not required.

Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers

Greet visitors and handle general office tasks such as filing or scanning during weekday mornings from now until mid-April for Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers.

Yard Sign Assembly Project

Businesses, groups, faith communities or family and friends are needed to assemble 950 yard signs that promote Capuchins Community Services’ Run-Walk for the Hungry; weekday hours.
