Just in time for Earth Day (4/22), Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity ReStore is showcasing an exhibition of 116 recycled and repurposed works in their 9th annual Recycled Art Contest.
Habitat for Humanity ReStore, Habitat’s resale stores and donation centers, are celebrating 10 years in Milwaukee this month. Since 2006, Milwaukee’s ReStores have funded the construction of 25 Milwaukee Habitat homes by reselling donated home goods to the public. Donations of furniture, appliances, and cabinetry by local individuals and businesses have made it possible for 25 Milwaukee families to achieve their dream of owning their own homes.
