About 40 representatives of Milwaukee nonprofits are attending a conference in Detroit to learn what “collective impact” means for their neighborhoods.
Community researchers are visiting selected Lindsay Heights residents during the next few weeks to survey their health status. The results will lead to steps to improve health and fitness.
LarSharae Hooker, a member of the LaVarnway Boys & Girls Club in Lindsay Heights, is one of six Argosy Citizenship Award winners for 2011. Each winner will receive a $1,000 grant.
