Let’s face it, the Near West Side is unbelievable, with seven neighborhoods sharing an amazing but unique history of Milwaukee. It is under rated but having boundless potential for an about-face metamorphosis. All the components are there: motivated anchors like Harley Davidson, MillerCoors, Marquette University, Aurora Health Care, Potawatomi Business Development Corporation and a great location adjacent to downtown. What would it take to start some momentum as is happening in the Menomonee River Valley and the Milwaukee Harbor District?
Seeking voices, visions, ideas from those ages 17 to 45 on what would change this place around. What would make the Near West Side a place where a young entrepreneur would want to start, a place you would like to visit, dine and be entertained or a place to buy your first house or start a young family? If you could create the plan for this area, what would it include?
Please “Meet Up” and bring your voice, unlimited ideas or just share your experiences in a facilitated session led by Christine Hill, Executive Director of Marquette’s Future Milwaukee Program. Food is provided and it will be a fun, interactive visioning session. Create the future. Turn this place around.
