Students of the Alliance School ended the 2010-2011 academic year with food, games, a talent show and the Peace Fair, an annual information fair aimed at promoting non-violence and the power of education.

Founded in 2003, the Alliance School is a public charter middle school and high school in Milwaukee. The school is “a safe place for students regardless of sexuality, identity, appearance, ability or beliefs,” according to the Milwaukee Public Schools website.
Community organizations and colleges that participated in the event included the Wisconsin Humane Society, Sojourner Truth House, Running Rebels, Milwaukee Police Department, Milwaukee Food for Thought, Great Lakes Hemophilia Foundation, Milwaukee Tennis Education Foundation, Pearls for Teen Girls, UMOS, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Milwaukee School of Engineering, Alverno College, Milwaukee Area Technical College and Mount Mary College.
