Residents of Layton Boulevard West have an opportunity to win up to $1,000 by fixing up the most visible part of their homes: their front porch.

All homeowners in the Layton Boulevard West neighborhoods of Burnham Park, Silver City and Layton Park are eligible for the Layton Boulevard West Neighbors 2011 Most Improved Porch Contest. Qualified work includes any improvements to the front porch visible from the curb, including adjacent landscape or garden improvements.

The first 40 contestants who verify completion of their work will receive a $20 rebate. Prizes include $1,000 for first place, $500 for second place, $250 for third place and a Home Depot power tool prize pack for fourth and fifth place.

Applications must be submitted by July 22 and work completed by Sept. 30.

For more information or an application, contact Will at will@lbwn.org or 414-385-5300.  You can also click here for PDF of the flier with contest rules and an application.
