On a bright but chilly fall Saturday, Walnut Way Conservation Corp. celebrated its 12th annual Harvest Day Festival. More than 600 adults and children attended, according to Joanna Sabir, associate director of the Lindsay Heights Neighborhood Initiative. Held on the 2200 block of N. 17th Street, the event is intended to create a sense of community among residents, families and Walnut Way supporters. The festival also provides community organizations, partners and businesses in the greater Lindsay Heights neighborhood an opportunity to interact with neighborhood residents. Among the exhibitors were Seaway Bank, Medical College of Wisconsin and That Salsa Lady.
