Volunteer Wisconsin, in partnership with Serve Wisconsin, local Volunteer Centers, and community nonprofits, is proud to support Make A Difference Day. In Wisconsin Make a Difference Day season is October 20 through November 10.

More than 50 volunteer service projects are planned in 22 counties throughout the state including Milwaukee. Project activities range from raking leaves and winterizing elderly and disabled resident’s homes to donation drives to programs educating teens about bullying.

For ways to get involved during the Make a Difference Day season, visit www.volunteerwisconsin.org and click “volunteer” to visit the statewide volunteer connection.

In addition, National Make a Difference Day is being celebrated statewide by asking “How do YOU Make a Difference Wisconsin?” On October 27, tweet and update Facebook by finishing the sentence “I make a difference by…” or by using the hashtag #MakeaDifferenceWI on Twitter.

For two decades USA Weekend and HandsOn Network have joined together to sponsor Make a Difference Day, the largest national day of service. Volunteer Wisconsin is excited to provide volunteer service opportunities across Wisconsin.

Volunteer Wisconsin is a statewide initiative in collaboration with Volunteer Centers and Serve Wisconsin, to connect volunteers, promote volunteering, and support the capacity of nonprofits through volunteers. For more information visit www.volunteerwisconsin.org or call 414-344-3933.
