United Way of Greater Milwaukee has teamed up with the Milwaukee Area Labor Council to collect blankets and bedding for homeless shelters and those in need this winter. The Blanketing Greater Milwaukee drive kicks-off January 20 and runs through January 31.
New and gently used blankets can be dropped off at United Way of Greater Milwaukee, any City of Milwaukee Firehouse and the Milwaukee Area Labor Council. United Way will distribute them to community agencies and shelters.
“United Way of Greater Milwaukee is committed to mobilizing resources to meet community needs, said Nicole Angresano, Vice President of Community Impact, United Way of. “Often those resources are financial, but at other times the needs are immediate and as simple as providing blankets to help people stay warmer on cold nights.”
