St. Marcus School today announced an amendment to its policy for serving meals to students under the National School Lunch / School Breakfast Programs for the 2014-2015 school year. All students will be served lunch/breakfast at no charge at the following sites:

St. Marcus School:  2215 N Palmer Street, Milwaukee, WI 53212
St. Marcus Early Childhood Center:  2669 N Richards Street, Milwaukee, WI 53212

St. Marcus is participating in the Community Eligibility Program (CEP), which means that all students will be able to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at no charge, regardless of family income.

St. Marcus is able to participate in the U.S. Department of Agriculture program, which is federally funded, because of its high percentage of students who come from low-income households. Last year, 89% of St. Marcus students were eligible for free or reduced-price lunch. This school year marks the first year Wisconsin schools are eligible to participate in CEP.
