A MERGE Group community outreach event presents the First Annual 2014 Feeding Hungry Families initiative, a volunteer run event, in partnership with Urban Poiema Church, Maldonado & Morgan creative agency and INFO Magazine. On November 27th, Thanksgiving Day, a FREE Thanksgiving Feast will be held, for those in need from 11am-2pm at the new Mangos Tropical Bar & Grill, located at 721 E. Cesar E. Chavez Drive.

“We are organizing a FREE lunch for the less fortunate to make sure everyone gets a full plate of warm comfort food on Thanksgiving Day,” said Frank Sandino, Co-founder of the MERGE Group. “It’s about integrating Milwaukee into one community and helping feed the next hand,” said Terrell Morgan, Partner of INFO Magazine.

“In times of difficulty, our compassion compels us to help one another. We have family, friends and peers who need our support and voices to help them, using whatever means we have available, we must gather our resources and offer them to those in dire need, this time is as appropriate as any. The amount of misfortune that effects our city needs to be addressed, Let us be more human and strive to lessen the burden where we may. We are focusing our efforts to help and do our best to give back”, said Julio Maldonado, Partner at Maldonado & Morgan.

The event will be on a first come, first serve basis until we run out of food. No application is required to participate in the lunch.

The MERGE Group plans on offering the Feeding Hungry Families initiative annually on Thanksgiving to benefit local Milwaukee families in need. Partners involved in providing this event all agreed to say that, “This special event is a chance to give back to the community in a different way and to make a positive difference.”
