ScriptRelief has announced that its family of pharmacy discount cards helped Milwaukee residents save more than $600,000 on prescription medications in 2014. This week, the company will mail its popular National Prescription Assistance Network and American Prescription Discounts cards to numerous households throughout Milwaukee.
“We issue thousands of pharmacy discount cards each year, and we are pleased to be serving the Milwaukee area,” said Rich Vogel, COO and co-founder of Script Relief, LLC. “Last year, our cards were used on just over 5,500 transactions in Milwaukee, delivering residents $639,000 in savings on prescription medications.”
The complimentary cards provide discounts on FDA-approved prescription medications sold at numerous pharmacies including Costco, Rite Aid, Target, Walgreen’s and Walmart. The cards are pre-activated and no registration is required for use. Cardholders simply present the card to the pharmacist when filling a prescription at their local pharmacy.
ScriptRelief’s National Prescription Assistance Network card and American Prescription Discounts card make prescription medications more affordable. While discounts vary based on the prescriptions being filled, ScriptRelief reports that the average discount is almost 50 percent.
The pharmacy discount cards are free, and cardholder information is never sold or rented to a third party. The cardholder’s information is fully protected by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA.)
