Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs and Alderman Russell W. Stamper, II are inviting residents to the 6th Annual Housing Resource Fair event from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. this Saturday, November 19 at North Division High School, 1011 W. Center St. The event will provide residents with information on home financing, home repairs and foreclosure prevention from a variety of organizations.

The Housing Resource Fair will feature several workshops, including Resources for the Elderly at 10:30 a.m., Resources for Home Repairs at 11:30 a.m. and Buying City Property at 1:00 p.m.

Co-sponsors for the event include the Neighborhood Improvement Development Corporation (NIDC), Heal the Hood, NYPD Pizza, WestCare Wisconsin and African American Ladies Empowered to Grow Opportunities (A-LEGO). Also, throughout the day there will be prize drawings for items being donated by WestCare Wisconsin, Community Warehouse and the Health Department.

Alderwoman Coggs encourages residents with housing needs or questions to attend the fair. “This is the sixth year for the Housing Resource Fair, and it is proven to be a successful and worthwhile event. I am looking forward to what this year will bring,” she said.

Alderman Stamper mirrored this, stating, “Ask questions. Sit in on workshops. This event is meant to serve you, so please take advantage of all the available resources.”
