The event celebrated Troop Café’s positive impact and highlight veteran’s contributions to the Milwaukee restaurant community. Troop Café is owned and managed by the Center for Veteran’s Issues. It is a unique workforce development program that trains veterans in the culinary arts and helps place them in Milwaukee’s restaurant industry. A variety of speakers were featured at the event, including Representative Goyke, Alderman Bauman and Wisconsin Restaurant Association President Ed Lump.
