On Saturday, April 22, the 12th annual America SCORES Milwaukee SCORES CUP featured 18 adult teams that played in a fun and friendly indoor soccer tournament at Uihlein Soccer Park, 7101 W. Good Hope Road, to support Milwaukee’s underserved children.
The unique tournament, that hosted 275 players and 100 spectators, raised approximately $35,000 through team sponsorship, individual fundraising, in-kind donations and raffles. One hundred percent of the funds raised are being allocated to the program’s youth-based soccer, academic, service-learning and social-emotional learning initiatives.
Corporate sponsored teams that played included Baird, Bares Towing Service, Briggs & Stratton, Crescendo Collective, Empower Retirement, Fiduciary Management, GE Healthcare, Harley-Davidson, MGS Mfg., Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, MPS, Northwestern Mutual Foundation, PwC, ThermTech, ULINE, WaterStone Bank, and Wells Fargo. Additionally, one individually-funded team participated.
