Where: Betty Brinn Children’s Museum (inside the lobby):

929 E. Wisconsin, Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53202

When: Tuesday, June 20, 2017 (9am-3pm)

The exhibit is free for all guests entering the museum

Children visiting the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum can explore their career dreams while enjoying fun, interactive games at PNC’s Mobile Learning Adventure, a traveling exhibit highlighting the importance of early education.

Highlights of activities under the two, bright orange tents include:

  • “When I Grow Up” photo station, which encourages kids to dress up as different professionals and have their picture superimposed on a career-related background
  • “Word of the Day” vocabulary activity
  • Two touch-screen kiosks with educational games
  • “Making Choices” activity board to help children learn about “wants” vs. “needs”

Experience hands-on activities for children and learn about early childhood education at the PNC Mobile Learning Adventure.

Children can dress as their favorite professionals – including astronaut, ballerina, firefighter or scientist – and posing for a picture superimposed on an appropriate background.  Parents, caregivers and children can anxiously anticipate the answers to the questions on the touch-screen kiosks.

In addition, parents can take home an activity book and a Sesame StreetTM learning kit created for PNC as part of a continuing partnership.  The kit includes a magazine for parents and caregivers, children’s activity cards and a book, along with an original Sesame Street DVD that demonstrates how to take everyday moments and turn them into learning opportunities.

PNC recognizes that learning in a child’s early years is essential for their long-term success.  Through Grow Up Great, a $350 million, multi-year, bilingual initiative that began in 2004, PNC helps prepare children from birth to age 5 for success in school and life.  With a focus on underserved children, Grow Up Great provides the leadership, advocacy, funding, volunteers and educational resources to help families, educators and community partners offer innovative opportunities that enhance children’s learning and development.
