The Milwaukee YMCA proudly inducted it’s 36th Adult Achievers class during an annual breakfast celebration this past Wednesday at the Italian Community Center. Twenty-two professional leaders that represent (the Milwaukee Bucks, Direct Supply, We Energies, Social X MKE, We Energies, Froedtert & the Medical College, Eaton Corporation, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Milwaukee, Rockwell Automation, Johnson Controls, Children’s Hospital, City Year, and Harley-Davidson) committed to a year of service to support the youth in the program.

The Milwaukee Achievers program; celebrating 36 years of service in the community  is rooted in 5 Pillars that guide a students experience: Academics, College Knowledge, Positive Relationships, Life Skills, and Positive Identity. This program serves as a vital purpose in Milwaukee; having served thousands of young men and young women of color helping them to develop the necessary skills and competencies needed to succeed as they prepare for college and the workforce.
