Be a voter information advocate!

Pledge to share this information on voting and elections with five or more friends, family members and neighbors. And, direct them to our website for current information about the Nov. 6 General Election and how to register and vote.
The website also has LWVMC’s Candidate Survey Responses and information on our upcoming Public Issues Forum, Truth, Trust, and Democracy, on Oct. 20.

★ When does early voting begin?

Early voting is available through Nov. 4 using an absentee ballot at your municipal clerk’s office or at sites in the community in the city of Milwaukee. Early voting is now open in the City of Milwaukee. Contact your local clerk for early voting dates in other municipalities. If you are not already registered to vote, you may register and vote on the same day.

★ Can I register to vote online?

Yes, you can register to vote here (Oct. 17 is the last day to be able to complete voter registration online):

★ What do I need to bring with me to vote?

To vote, you must prove WHO you are. To register to vote, you must prove WHERE you live. Bring your Wisconsin driver license, or your Wisconsin state ID, or your naturalization certificate to vote. For more Photo ID for Voting information:

If you need to register to vote on the same day you vote, you must also bring Proof of Residence that has your current name and address.  This can be:  Wisconsin driver license, or your Wisconsin state ID (must include current address), utility bill, bank statement, credit card statement, lease, or any government letter or document that has your name and current address on it.
