In celebration of World Doula Week 2020, Birthworkers United, Inc. will be organizing the 2nd annual, “It Takes A Village: Community Baby Shower & Resource Fair” for expecting families in the city of Milwaukee.
With Wisconsin leading the nation in black infant mortality rates, this event was created to raise awareness about healthy birth outcomes and the importance of doula services in the community.
The 2nd annual, “It Takes A Village: Community Baby Shower and Resource Fair”, will take place at the new Sherman Phoenix business development, Saturday, March 28, 2020 from 10a-4p.
There will be an amazing interactive resource fair with over 15 community vendors, as well as a special Paint & Pamper Party for expecting individuals and new parents! Registration required. The pampering services will include;
1.) Full Body Massage and Chair Massage
2.) Canvas Painting
3.) Belly Painting
4.) Spa Pedicures
5.) Professional Makeup with Photography
6.) Manicures with Hand Massages for Dads and Moms
7.) Facials for Dads and Moms
8.) Prenatal Yoga Class
9.) Infant Massage Class
10.) Prenatal Line Dance Session
