On Monday, January 16, Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs will help mark the national holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by leading the 16th Annual “King Fest” in recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s 88th birthday at the Wisconsin Black Historical Society, 2620 W. Center St.

Nationally-known peace activist Erica Ford to appear at public, free session on Friday

Coggs is encouraging community members to attend a free and public event on Friday (January 6) featuring nationally-recognized peace activist and social entrepreneur Erica Ford of New York City. The after work session featuring Ms. Ford will be at Render, a new tech start up located at 2209 N. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr., from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Community meeting on Saturday to discuss lead service line proposal
