Local Nonprofit Organization to Host Youth Summit Aimed at Human Trafficking Prevention and Awareness

Grateful Girls, a local non-profit organization that serves those escaping the sex-trafficking industry, will host its 2nd Annual Stay Out the Game 101 Youth Summit Human Trafficking Prevention and Awareness Summit. The month of January is National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month.

The youth summit is collaboration between Grateful Girls, Inc. and the YMCA. Stay Out the Game 101, a free event will take place this Saturday, Jan. 12th from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Northside YMCA located at 1350 W. North Ave. Local youth between the ages of 10 and 17 years old will attend workshops throughout the day and learn how human trafficking occurs in the Milwaukee area and how to stay safe and guarded against it. There will be words of wisdom from survivors of human trafficking.
