Urban proprietors or aspiring entrepreneurs can attend a free “Business Incubator Startup” workshop from 6 -9 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 19, at Parklawn Assembly of God, 3725 N. Sherman Blvd. The workshop will let them explore the merits of their ideas, refine their models and define next steps, and is presented by a coalition of Launch MKE, BizStarts, Parklawn and St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care.
The workshop is modeled after the business incubators run for two years by St. Ann Center, Business Improvement District 32 and Ald. Russell W. Stamper II. Afterward, participants will have access to BizStarts coaches and to Launch MKE’s Business Academy’s spring program. BizStarts offers one-on-one coaching, mentoring, and connections to its deep network at no cost to the entrepreneur. Launch MKE’s program will run for 10 weeks, one evening a week, and includes successful entrepreneurs as guest speakers. Launch MKE graduated 23 successful entrepreneurs from their program in December.
