About 200 families will receive a basket, but additional resources such as blankets, hats, gloves and soap will be provided during the resource fair. LUNA is hosting a movie night on Friday, Nov. 22. Short films made by local Latinx artists will be featured during the event. The screenings will take place at LUNA, 1037 S. Cesar Chavez Drive, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

In addition to the plant swap, SoilSista and HoneyBee Sage Apothecary are hosting a winter attire drive and will be collecting hats, gloves and scarves as part of the entry fee. Ald. Milele Coggs and Ald. Russell Stamper are inviting residents to attend the ninth annual Housing Resource Fair on Saturday, Nov. 23. There will be workshops on credit repair and resources for the elderly as well as information on home repairs, home financing, foreclosure assistance and more. Fanana Banana is hosting an art exhibition, Underground Muslim Artists, on Saturday, Nov. 23 at the Walker’s Point Center for the Arts, 839 S. 5th St. Art from local and non-local Muslim creatives will be featured.
