Historic Milwaukee, Inc. is recruiting volunteers for this year’s Spaces & Traces,
a program that explores Milwaukee’s diverse and richly textured neighborhoods.
Spaces & Traces will be delving into the Historic Concordia Neighborhood, one of
Milwaukee’s most architecturally and historically significant areas. Volunteers will
lead guided tours of Concordia’s churches, schools, factories, taverns, warehouses,
parks, homes, and more.
Historic Milwaukee is a nonprofit devoted to Milwaukee’s history, architecture and
built environment. Past neighborhoods have included Third Ward, Yankee Hill,
Lincoln Avenue, Bay View, Rufus King, Newberry Blvd, Sherman Park, and Story
Hill as well as the areas along the rivers in downtown, Brady Street, Riverwest and
Walker’s Point.
An informational volunteer meeting will take place at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, at
the Irish Cultural and Heritage Center, 2133 W. Wisconsin Ave.
