This is a permanent, outdoor chess table, created by Kevin Oulahan, in the pocket park at 3rd Street and Walker. The park also includes a sculpture entitled Stone Bracelet by Zoran Mojsilov.

Walker’s Point historically has been home to people who work in Milwaukee’s major nearby industrial corridors. The diverse racially mixed neighborhood includes families and a gay/lesbian community. The neighborhood houses many repurposed industrial buildings, as well as the Alan-Bradley Building and clock tower, now occupied by Rockwell Automation.
