The Social Development Commission is offering a series of free ACT Wings workshops at its Richards Street facility. The two-day sessions are available for April 14th and 15th, April 16th and 17th, and May 3rd and 17th. The workshops run for two days between 9 am and 1 pm.
The workshop sessions include instruction on taking the ACT test, practice exercises in all five areas of the test, a book of practice tests and exercises, a Personal Study Plan that includes strategies and tips for success, and individualized follow-up. The ACT test is given to high school students and is used by colleges and universities for both admission and determining scholarships for incoming students. The ACT Wings workshops at SDC are designed to help high school students be ready for the test and to showcase their academic capabilities.
