St. Joseph Academy to break ground on building expansion

October 28, 2014 by Cory Savage Leave a Comment

St. Joseph Academy, an authorized Milwaukee Parental Choice Program School, will host a ceremony to break ground on the school’s major building expansion. The $4 million capital campaign initiated by St. Joseph Academy is in response to the demand for a high-quality education in Milwaukee.

WHAT: ‘Build for Our Future’ Groundbreaking Ceremony

WHERE: St. Joseph Academy – 1600 W. Oklahoma Ave., Milwaukee

WHEN: Wednesday, October 29th at 1:00 p.m.

WHO: Todd Beadle, CEO/President/Principal of St. Joseph Academy will speak. Guests include Mayor Tom Barrett, civic representatives, and local business leaders.

In 2009, St. Joseph Academy opened its doors with a single 4K classroom and 16 students. Today, the school has 314 students in K4-4th grade. In addition, the school’s Child Development Center serves 170 children per day.

St. Joseph Academy has pursued growth while providing students with a superior education, and is proud to be recognized by numerous accreditation organizations, including AdvancEd and Wisconsin’s YoungStar childcare rating system.

The school’s Build For Our Future Campaign supports the construction of 14 new classrooms as well as a community room, gymnasium, concession area, and office space. By 2015-2016, the school projects enrollment of 384 students in K4-5th grade, and by 2016-2017, St. Joseph Academy plans to enroll 428 students.

“St. Joseph Academy is the heart of our neighborhood,” said Todd Beadle, the school’s principal. “Students already receive a foundational education here, and our next step is to be a resource for the community around us. The expansion helps us take that step.”
