Students from 11 Milwaukee Public Schools gathered at Turner Hall for the second annual Serve2Unite Peace Summit. Students engaged in dialogue informed by their research on methods of civic engagement around the world.
Attendees included Serve2Unite student leadership chapters, educators, Mayor Tom Barrett, MPS Superintendent Darienne Driver, Dydine Umunyana (S2U global mentor, survivor of the Rwandan genocide, filmmaker and peace activist), John and Ericajoy Daniels, and representatives of the Milwaukee Police Department.
