Common Ground held a street soccer tournament to demand changes in traffic laws that it says make the walk to school dangerous for children. Milwaukee is one of the few cities in the nation where traffic is not required to stop for school buses. The group is advocating development of an indoor/outdoor soccer space on the South Side so that children don’t have to play the game on the streets.
