Children ages 6 to 12 celebrated the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at a recent workshop led by poet Victoria Porter and teen mentors from Arts @ Large.

The children viewed Dr. King’s “I have a dream” speech and created artwork and poems inspired by his famous words at the free event, held at Walker’s Point Center for the Arts, 839 S. 5th St., as part of its education programming.
