Milwaukee Ladies United recently held its first group gathering to bring its online members together. More than 400 women attended the event at Moxy Art Studios, 133 W. Pittsburgh Ave., which centered on women’s empowerment through positive interactions.

The MLU Facebook group encourages women to get to know other women in their neighborhoods and community. Users address beauty secrets, mental and physical health tips, relationships and other topics related to womanhood and femininity.

The 21-and-older event included food, beverages and music, and showcased art by local artists Bianca Brandolino, Rachel Stenman, Kelly Fields, Kari Borchert, Kathryn Newton, Elly Hazard and Maeve Jackson.
