Reesheda Sanders, watching her four young nephews play in King Park on a recent evening, said she walks her dog there most days. An executive assistant at a downtown hotel, Sanders feels safe in the park and the neighborhood to the west where she owns a home. But crime in the city is much worse than when she was growing up and young people have too few positive activities to keep them safe and out of trouble, she said.
