Alderman Russell W. Stamper, II and the St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care are offering a free “business incubator” workshop from 1:00-5:00 Thursday, August 31 at St. Ann Center’s Bucyrus Campus. About 20 diverse entrepreneurs from Business Improvement District (BID) 32 will get hands on training and facetime with investors to help fund their companies or expand their current businesses.

This session is an amazing opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs to gain incredible feedback with a 45-minute session on how to improve their business plan, plus two hours of one- on-one consultations with business coaches and investors. Alderman Stamper will also meet with each entrepreneur. As the Chair of the Common Council’s Community and Economic Development Committee he says, “The business incubator series gives aspiring entrepreneurs the support they need for their idea to grow and makes business ownership accessible to everyone. Ultimately, this will help Milwaukee’s north side business community expand.”

Applicants need to fill out a questionnaire (please download from Alderman Stamper’s webpage – Milwaukee.gov/district15) explaining their business idea, aspiration, and target customers by Wednesday, August 23. The program is free to anyone opening or expanding a business in ZIP Codes 53205, 53206 or 53210. Spaces are limited, RSVP and return paperwork to Alderman Stamper’s office – Russell.Stamper@milwaukee.gov or District 15 – Room 205, City Hall, 200 E. Wells St., Milwaukee, WI 53202, OR:
