Alderman José G. Pérez encourages residents to attend the grand opening of the Milwaukee Public Library’s Mitchell Street Branch at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 7. The new library is located on 906 W. Historic Mitchell St.
There will be a ribbon-cutting and opening ceremony. The grand opening will feature crafts, tours, live entertainment, and the chance to win great prizes. Mayor Tom Barrett, Library Director Paula Kiely, and the Milwaukee Public Library Board of Trustees will all be in attendance for this event.
Alderman Pérez says, “The new library branch is a great addition to the city and will serve as a place for residents to become engaged learners and readers.”
