The Pediatric Department at Marquette School of Dentistry, 1801 W. Wisconsin Ave., now features artwork from students in different grades at Bruce Guadalupe Community School. Seventeen students’ artwork was chosen to hang in the pediatric department to brighten up the clinic.
The artwork replaced posters by some of the “masters” on the walls in the pediatric area; administrators thought art by children would be more suitable.
A ceremony for students and their parents was held recently at the dental school. The children were able to showcase their work to friends and family. They also received certificates for their accomplishments.
Last year, 11,396 people in Milwaukee County received care at one of the School of Dentistry’s three locations.
