In celebration of World Doula Week 2019, six women-owned businesses decided to organize a Community Baby Shower & Resource Fair for expecting moms in the city of Milwaukee.
With Wisconsin leading the nation in black infant mortality rates, this event was created to raise awareness about healthy birth outcomes and the importance of doula services in the community.
The inaugural, “It Takes A Village: Community Baby Shower and Resource Fair”, will take place at Sherman Phoenix, Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 10a-4p.
We are excited and hope that the community responds to our call to donate to the expecting families that attend. We currently have 4 drop off locations accepting baby item donations on our behalf;

2.) Gee’s Clippers
3.) The Bronzeville Collective MKE
4.) HoneyBee Sage Wellness Apothecary (located inside Sherman Phoenix)
