Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers today announced it will host its 2019 LATINO Health Equity Summit, “A Roadmap to Milwaukee’s Healthy Future,” on April 9 from 8:00am-3:00pm at the Italian Community Center. The second annual Summit is bringing together the biggest names in healthcare, key business and city leaders, and top area funders to ignite a conversation around Latino health equity and develop a real-time roadmap through policy, community-based strategy and cross-sector collaboration for a healthier tomorrow. Every speaker will offer a recommendation to create an action plan that the Milwaukee Latino Health Coalition will take back to work through as part of their priorities. The Summit is being presented in collaboration with the Milwaukee Latino Health Coalition.

“The Latino community with its rapidly growing population is, in many ways, the future of Milwaukee. It’s important we prepare now for the changing health needs of the city,” says Dr. Julie Schuller, President and CEO of Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers. “Strategies, policy and funding will help ensure it is a future of opportunity and health. I’m excited to bring alive this conversation and movement to action through our second annual health equity summit.”
