How to find a food pantry

  1. Use your phone

    Use your phone to call Impact at 2-1-1, which can connect you to food pantries and meal programs. You can also text your ZIP code to TXT-211.
  2. Go online

    Use the 2-1-1 Wisconsin website to find the food pantry in your neighborhood. You can also visit the Children’s Community Health Plan, which lists food pantries near or within the 53212 ZIP code.  

Food pantry locations

  1. Sherman Park Food Pantry

    The Sherman Park Food Pantry is located in the Good Shepherd Trinity Gathering Space, 3302 N Sherman Blvd. The pantry is open on certain Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. According to its website, the pantry donates bags of food without charge to families in the Sherman Park neighborhoods. Call the Good Shepherd Trinity Church’s office at (414) 871-9440 for more information.
  2. Saint Rose of Lima

    Saint Rose of Lima Parish Food Pantry distributes food to parishioners and individuals in the 53208 ZIP code. It’s located at 540 N. 31st St. Call (414) 342-1778 for times and other  information.
  3. All Peoples Church

    All Peoples Church, 2600 N. 2nd St., opens its food pantry from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays. The food pantry is hosted by Isaiah 55 Food Ministry. Call (414) 264-1616 to get involved or learn more about resources.
  4. Riverwest Food Pantry

    Riverwest Food Pantry distributes food to individuals in the Riverwest and Harambee neighborhoods. Families and individuals can shop for all groceries once a month and can come in weekly for bread and produce. Call (414) 301-1478 for more information.
  5. St. Casimir Parish

    The Saturday pantry is open from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in St Casimir Parish Hall, 924 E. Clarke St, and the Tuesday pantry is open from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the lower level of Gaenslen School, 1250 E. Burleigh St.
  6. Cross Lutheran Church

    Cross Lutheran Church, 1821 N. 16th St., offers both a food pantry and a meal program through its Bread of Healing ministry. The Choice Style food pantry is open most Wednesdays from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. From 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., the church serves a hot meal followed by a bible study.   7. Capuchin Community Services 

    The Capuchin Community Services supply several food pantries with supplies throughout Milwaukee. Some of the locations include House of Peace, 1702 W. Walnut St., Hope House, 209 W. Orchard St. and more. For the full list and times click here.
  8. Friedens Community Ministries

    Frieden Community Ministries has several food pantry locations. The locations include, the Coggs Center, 1220 W. Vliet St., Despensa de la Paz, 1615 S. 22nd St., Hope House, 209 W. Orchard St. and Zion Rock, 10230 W. Fond du Lac Ave. Click the links for hours of operation.
