Sharp Creatives is hosting an event titled The Mental Art featuring former Milwaukee Bucks player Larry Sanders and Sharp Creatives co-founder Ray Nitti discussing their artistic and mental journeys. Taking place at 88NINE Radio Milwaukee (220 E Pittsburgh Ave, Milwaukee) on Saturday, August 3, Sanders in particular will be discussing his personal journey with mental health, how it impacted his career in the NBA, and share his current creative endeavors.

The event, which is free and open to the public, begins at 3:00 p.m. with a Creative Networking Mixer and Ice Breaker, featuring local live music. At 4:30 p.m. Nitti and Sanders will spend an hour discussing their careers, art, creativity and mental health.

“The Mental Art event aims to provide a space to connect creatives with business opportunities through networking and, at the same time, provide the opportunity for dialogue about how mental health impacts all aspects of creative and corporate culture,” said Nitti. Nitti co-founded Sharp Creatives with Sasha Fernandez to create events, activities and opportunities to connect the city’s creative talent with employers for the purpose of retaining Milwaukee’s creative talent and fostering a vibrant creative sector.

Mental Art event partners include 88NINE Radio Milwaukee, the Office of Violence Prevention, COM, BIG3 and ImagineMKE.
