Bouchards Brands, Milwaukee’s own premier fashion boutiques and the Maison dé Bouchard clothing line, are making available for donation 10,000 surgical masks to help Milwaukee-area hospitals and first responders stay safe while battling this COVID-19 pandemic.

On April 10, 2020, Bouchards Brands plans to distribute the masks to Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department, City of Milwaukee Police Department, Milwaukee Fire Department and Milwaukee County Transit System.

Gino Murrar, President of Bouchards Brands, stated “Milwaukee has been home to Bouchards Brands for over 30 years.  As we face what could possibly be the greatest adversary of our generation, we knew it was our moral obligation to contribute what we could during this battle.  We are making this donation because we are grateful to our city and the heroes that are protecting it.  Our families, our employees and our customers’ safety are all dependent upon these dedicated men and women.  We feel that it is our duty to do everything that we can do, using all of the resources that we have to offer them support.  We hope that this will also inspire everyone, including other businesses and companies, to do what they can as well.

After speaking with a nurse and some of Milwaukee’s finest police officers, we realized the horrific conditions that they are dealing with.  This is not a time for us to think about fashion; it is a time to fight for basic survival. It only made sense for us to contact our manufacturing partners, utilizing our resources and bring in these PPE for these heroes.  It is just a small token of our appreciation for all that they do.”

Deshea Agee, Executive Director of Historic King Drive BID, commented “Bouchards Brands contribution to these organizations show the value this local business places on Milwaukee residents and our first responders. At a time when the COVID 19 pandemic is threatening the health and safety of our community, it is great to see the owners of Bouchards make this donation to help save lives.”
