Veritas High School, located at 3025 W. Oklahoma Avenue, Milwaukee, has earned a spot in the U.S. News & World Report’s list of Best High Schools. Veritas ranked 17th within Wisconsin high schools, and 13th among Milwaukee metro area high schools. On math and reading performance, Veritas ranks #7 in the state. Veritas High has a total enrollment of 252 students, with a 91% minority enrollment.
“We are incredibly proud of the accomplishments of our staff and students. With only 252 students, we are a small high school. It is incredible to see our name on the leader board with some of the more well-established high schools in Milwaukee. Students at Veritas are getting a high-quality education that prepares them to succeed in their future endeavors,” said George Thimmesch, Principal of Veritas High School.
The U.S. News & World Report indicates that nearly 18,000 schools across the country were ranked on six factors based on their performance on state assessments and how well they prepare students for college. Veritas High School ranked #766 in the National Rankings.
Veritas High School is one of five programs of Seeds of Health, Inc. schools in Milwaukee. Executive director Marcia Spector says that she is proud of the continued progress and success of the students and staff at Veritas.
